EB5 Visa for Immigrant Investors Description

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services department of the United States government is the administrative agency which adjudicates the EB5 visa program. The EB5 visa program is also known as the immigrant investor program. The purpose of the EB5 immigrant investor visa program is to promote economic growth and stimulate the economy while providing jobs for United States citizens or United States lawful permanent residents.

All EB5 investors are required to invest in a new commercial enterprise. As immigration attorneys, we advise to invest in the United States approved regional centers as the investment is $500,000 and you do not have to open your own business, employ 10 {or more} full time employees and invest $1,000,000.

A commercial enterprise is defined, for EB5 visa purposes, to include the following: sole proprietorship; limited or general partnership; holding company; joint venture; corporation or a business trust or other entity which may be publicly or privately owned. This is very complicated and a careful analysis of the commercial enterprise must be determined first.

Please feel free to contact us for any questions on the EB5 immigrant investor visa program.
