Bonacic Wants Legislative Control Over The State's Casino Locations

More positive news coming out of Albany, New York pertaining to the locations of where the State's Casino's will be located. This is great news for the Rock Hill Town Center project that is sponsored by RH Land and Rock Hill Regional Center (Empire State EB-5). With the bolstering of economic growth in the Upstate New York region, especially with the casinos in mind, this area will be in need of hospitality and commercial real estate which the Rock Hill Town Center will have to offer.

Bonacic said he would ideally like to see three casinos in the Catskills and one at the Aqueduct racino, which produced record revenues last month. The Catskills in 2001 was authorized to have three Indian casinos, but has never been built.

Foreign-investment led projects blossom

[Source: Bizjournal, Brian Terrell, Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.]

While construction lending remains tight and high loan-to-cost ratio continue, the EB-5 Regional Center program offers an alternative financing route for projects, especially if they require new real estate construction. In general, EB-5 financing will cover approximately 20 percent to 70 percent of a project depending on the number of jobs created.
